I read comics. There I said it. I am one of those guys who goes every Wednesday and picks up his titles. I am particularly fond of Batman which pains me to have to complain about him. Over the last year Bruce Wayne has gone missing, presumed dead, and Dick Grayson, the original Robin, has taken over the role of Batman. The story line is all about Dick or we can call him douche getting used to wearing the suit. FYI, he hates the cape. The whole thing is angering me. Call me old school but I don't want anyone other than Bruce Wayne to be Batman. If that wasn't bad enough, Bruce Wayne's illegitimate child is the new Robin. This story line is right out of the Young and the Restless. What makes it worse is that as soon as I am used to these changes, I am sure Bruce Wayne is going to reappear. Maybe I am overreacting since comics are just a soap opera with fighting but I need to be heard. Of course none of this will stop me from buying Batman comics. In fact, it is Wednesday so I need to go right now. My comic rules:
- No one should be able to step into the role of a departed character. This happens every week with the Flash and it pisses me off.
- If a character dies, they should stay dead. No resurrection when sales are light.
